Skin Whitening for Oily Skin (Part 2)

In the first part of this post, we discussed some ways how skin can be whiter even if it is oily. Using natural products helps reduce the chances of making the skin oilier. Common skin care product ingredients, such as salicylic acid, aloe vera extract, and lemon extract can also help.

In this second part, we will continue the list of natural ways to whiten oily skin.

Papaya

Papaya has been known to be an effective skin whitener. Many whitening soaps have papaya as their active ingredient. If you are already using a soap, you can benefit from it. Rub the papaya fruit directly to the skin. Do this until it is dry. Wash it off with water afterwards.

The power of lemon and papaya in one paste may also bring good results.

Turmeric

Turmeric is not just for improving your health. This antioxidant-rich vegetable also improves your skin tone. Use turmeric powder with milk cream as face wash until dry. Rinse off with lukewarm water.

Oatmeal

Leave some breakfast oatmeals to deal with your oily skin. Oatmeal can be turned into a paste with the help of honey or a few spoons of sugar. The paste will have a scrub-like texture which should be left on the face for about 20 minutes. Rinse it off afterwards as usual.

Orange and Lemon Peels

Orange and lemons are great for refreshing summer drinks. But don’t throw those peels just yet. To make use of these peels, dry and then ground them until they have the consistency of a natural scrub. Use like a normal body scrub to improve and reduce oily skin. It will also leave your skin smelling zesty and fresh.

Aside from natural food products, there are also other ways to keep oily skin minimal.

Avoid Makeup or Use Powder-based Ones

Makeup products or skin whitening products based of powder will complement oily skin. The oil will be soaked in the powder which will also leave the skin in a matte effect. Avoiding the use of makeup will also help.

Regular Checkup and Treatments

Sometimes, even with all the natural remedies against oily skin, it’s still won’t be enough. The help of a dermatologist is needed at this point. Ask for their advice or undergo peel treatments for faster and definite results.

Skin Whitening for Oily Skin

The presence of natural oils in our skin is both a good and a bad thing. The good thing is that it helps fight skin aging. The bad thing is that you don’t really need excess oils if you are still young. Too much oil in the face can cause acne and pimples. It can also cause blemishes on the skin and clogged dirt in the pores.

People who want to whiten their skin can be a little picky with products that they would like to use. Not all skin whitening products can be effective for people with oily skin. Some products can worsen the oil secretion too.

There is a way to whiten the skin without making it all shiny. In this article, we will discuss natural skin lightening products and home remedies that can help you deal with oily skin.

Use Natural Products

Skin whitening products that are derived from natural ingredients are often safe to use for any skin type. Make it a habit to patronize natural products. Using skin products with laboratory-made ingredients often irritate the skin. Aside from irritations, those worsen the oily skin condition.

Aloe Vera Extract

Aloe Vera’s unique composition enables it to store moisture within its leaves. That’s why its extracts are usually found in skin products like whitening face cream. Those are helpful in order to retain moisture on the skin. It is a great foundation for whitening substances to build on. It keeps the moisture in check without worsening the oily skin.

Salicylic Acid

Like Aloe vera extract, salicylic acid is commonly found in skin products. It is a natural exfoliator. Oily skin tends to have clogged pores and acne-prone. Salicylic acid can deal with those to make the skin clearer and fairer.

Lemon Extract

Lemon is a natural bleaching agent. Citrus fruits, especially lemon, is a great source of citric acid. With the concentration of citric acid in lemon, it is usually used as a skin lightening agent for homemade masks, soap, and face creams.

Exfoliate Regularly

Too much oil in the skin makes the pores get clogged faster. And clogged pores means more dirt stuck deep. It also influences the increase of dead skin cells. Exfoliate regularly in order to shed the dead cells off.

Exfoliating regularly is different from doing it too much. Set two or three days to do the exfoliating so that the skin will not act adversely and secrete more oils.

The above are just the major ways for skin lightening for oily skin and there are still more ways to whiten an oily skin.
